The home was perfect in many ways. Starting with the entrance, there was only 1 step to get into the home and once inside, family with mobility issues could get to the pool, pool house, screened in porch and main floor bedrooms. My family likes to prepare meals in rather than go out and the kitchen was the best stocked kitchens we have ever rented. The pool is huge, one of the largest ever rented. There screened in porch and main floor living area are huge and the weather was perfect for enjoying the screened in porch. The only negative item I can think of is the kitchen cabinets are high on the wall; short people may find it difficult to reach them. There is also plenty of off-street parking.

Wow! This home was PERFECT for our blended families staycation. After having to pivot previous vacation plans last minute and transition to a local trip- VRBO and Jon with Third Coast Vacations made this stressful time turn into something positive and overall perfect for our family.What I appreciated was there was a winter storm warning for our travel dates, and communication with the owner was happening to prepare for an extended stay before we even left. This allowed for a stress free trip.The house was stunning and we felt like we were in a snow globe for 3 days with all of the windows and natural light that came in. Our kiddos and adults too enjoyed the hot tub in the snow and there was plenty of space for sledding too! The house came equipped with everything you could possibly need to entertain all ages. I would say if you are parents of little ones- you will need baby gates (there is one there now;) and all baby necessities including water safety devices ie: a sound alarm for the doors that lead to the pool- they are all levers and our 16 month old found that she was good at getting the doors open.We would love to return again in the summer and look forward to working with Jon at Third Coast Vacations to find our perfect house within our budget.

How far away from the nearest beach is the property located?

Answer:

The nearest beach access is Berrien St Beach which is at the intersection of Lakeshore Road (the road the property is located on) and Berrien St. It is less than 4/10 of a mile walk. In the summer, there are more walkers, joggers, and bikers on Lakeshore Road than cars. The access point is also a nice slope down to the beach rather than dozens of steps.

What is the timeframe the pool is open at the property? Hot tub?

Hi Justin, thanks for the message.

Typically, pools are open from mid-May to late September. But, each owner is different and if there is great weather expected in the fall, we try to keep pools open longer. It is best to check the property listing description or reach out to us about specific timeframes. And the hot tub is open all year round!

What exactly is in the garage / pool house?

Answer:

The garage / pool house is awesome addition to summer fun. There are two garage doors which open towards the pool. There is seating, large screen TV, ping pong table and kitchenette and half bath. There is heating and cooling options in there. Great space to include for game days!
