Very well-equipped cottage. We really enjoyed the fireplace! Beds comfy, well appointed bathrooms. Efficient and nicely decorated. Coffee pot had moldy grounds left behind.

What a hidden gem of an area in SW Michigan! The private beach access was lovely. Surrounded by wildlife and mature trees makes the setting idyllic. The house was quaint and well laid out - it felt bigger than the pictures for sure. There is a train that goes by every now and again- it was no big deal for us as the trains are short and time sporadic. I would 100% stay in the area again and would utilize Third Coast Vacations.

This house is amazing. The adorable cottage exterior leads to a surprisingly spacious and modern interior. The Kitchen is well stocked with good knives, big pans, and tubberware. The beds are comfortable. The bathrooms feel very new and fresh. The best room is the living room, the sky lights do a lot of work to make the space bright and beautiful. Accessing the beach was confusing at first (we couldn't find the right path), but once we found it the beach was perfect. The backyard is enormous and feels so private despite being right off of Red Arrow highway. Great house.

an all around amazing experience!
from the location, cleanliness and amenities.
all you need to bring is your clothes and food. the host made sure you have everything you need.
no detail left unturned, plenty of games for nights in also all you need to attend the private beach!
I will definitely recommend this location and return.

We loved our stay! This home has absolutely everything you could need and is so close to the beach. We accidentally locked ourselves out and Third Coast was immediately responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay again!

This home is so cute and had everything that our guests could possibly need! Peaceful backyard full of wildlife. Home was immaculate. We were all very happy and would gladly return. Third Coast was very communicative and clear with all instructions.

very nice and relaxing home. backyard was great for fires and playing, the walk to beach isnt bad but if your older or have really young children it could be difficult. but great home close to some good places to eat and everthing at the home to grill and cook yourself

We appreciated the local attention of real people. We think this is one of best cottages we have rented at this price pointMany items but the up to date kitchen and bath were very appreciated. The beach access was really nice.

I lived every moment about my stay. I was hosting a retreat for a client who had flown in for this experience and I wanted it to feel secluded and comfortable, it was all this and more!I’d be happy to recommend this cottage to other colleagues and friends - great for relaxing, lots of little nooks and space to work privately, read or chat.. We enjoyed the garden for private coaching, relaxing with a glass of wine by the fire and reading on the lounge chairs. The family room was like a hug - filled with light in the morning and cosy at night. We were blessed with great summer weather so didn’t light the fire inside and want to come back in the winter to check that out.

Cozy house for our family. The kids loved the large backyard and outdoor games. Perfect location- very short walk to private beach and relaxing stroll to Whistle Stop. The house has everything you need and more. Highly recommend!

We can’t say enough great things about this place! The house is so comfortable and easy! The location is amazing. The quick walk to the beach and the 70 stairs (we counted them! They got easier every time!)
This was the most relaxing couple days we have had in a very long time! We can not wait to return!

I enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Hygge House. The cottage is lovely—precisely as described and pictured—actually, it might be more charming than the pictures convey. It is super well appointed, with all the supplies necessary to make for a comfortable home-away-from-home stay. Proximity and access to the gorgeous beach were the highlights for me. Remember to obtain the house number for the private beach entrance. Both the interior and exterior of the home are charming. The backyard sits on a major highway, so you will hear passing traffic when sitting out back. However, I'm a city girl, so I didn't find it too disruptive. The greenery is lush and gorgeous - so you don't see the passing cars. The private beach is AMAZING. The Third Coast team was super responsive - and even proactively communicated about potential severe weather one day, which was super helpful. In short - I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Hygge House. I definitely plan to return!

We have been renting vacation homes in this area for years, this one by far is one of our favorites. Fenced in back yard for the kids! Close walk to a private beach! Just good all around. We will be back!

Great Father's Day weekend at the Hygge House. The home was clean, beds comfortable, and the kitchen well equipped. Air and fans kept the place very comfortable on very hot days. There were. plenty of towels, chairs and beach toys. A wagon was provided if needed for the short walk to the beach. The outdoor space offered a variety of seating and shade. The home is close to Red Arrow, and there was occasional traffic noise in the yard, which was not noticeable in the home. The hosts were responsive to questions and provided info about local spots.

This is our 2nd time here for catching up and R and R....didn't think twice....it was all comfort, cleanliness, quiet and peace! The house warms quickly, beds are comfy, bathroom is light & airy with a great magnifying mirror and lots of towels. Love the 5 burner stove, fam room skylights, windows everywhere, wooded lot, excellent reading light and satisfying Bluetooth speakers. I'd have stayed an extra day if I could have. Perfect and easy to keep clean. Loved it!
