Description
Welcome to Modern Living at Lake Michigan, a bright and spacious retreat on a quiet road directly across from the Lake Michigan shoreline. This open-concept home sleeps up to 14 guests across the main house and a private guest house, with hardwood floors and plenty of natural light throughout.
Literally across the street is access to the private neighborhood beach, perfect for swimming on sunny days or beach combing — the access code is provided at check-in.
The central living space features towering vaulted ceilings and a bank of windows that let in the afternoon sun. The open-concept kitchen is well-equipped, and the dining area's huge harvest table has plenty of room for meals, games, or reconnecting with the people you love.
Sleeping arrangements (sleeps 14, 3.5 baths):
Primary Suite (main floor) — king bed, en-suite bathroom with soaking tub and custom shower
Bedroom 2 (upstairs) — queen bed and twin bunk beds, with a flat-screen TV
Bedroom 3 (upstairs) — queen bed, flat-screen TV
Guest House — studio-style room with a queen bed, bunk beds, a day bed, and a trundle, plus its own full bathroom, TV, and stereo
Tucked behind the living areas is a media room with cable TV and a stereo system, and just off it, a well-furnished screened porch — perfect for morning coffee or an afternoon nap. Upstairs, a lofted office with sweeping views of the living area is ready for anyone who needs to get some work done.
A large laundry room with washer and dryer is on the main floor, so sand and barbecue stains stay behind when you leave.
The garage, attached to the guest house, is stocked with beach toys for outdoor fun — including a Maui mat and paddle boards down at the beach.
After a day at the beach across the street, relax with a book on the screened porch or soak in the hot tub. As evening falls, gather around the fire pit and settle into the Adirondack chairs under the stars.
Getting here & extras:
Driveway parking for 4 vehicles
Tesla EV charger alongside the garage
Drip coffee maker and Nespresso machine in the kitchen
One small, non-shedding dog welcome ($100 fee) — sorry, no cats
Please note: the decorative fireplaces in this home are not currently available for use.
Want to explore the area? Downtown New Buffalo, Union Pier, Three Oaks, and Sawyer are all a short drive away, with dining, shopping, hiking, antiquing, and more.
