New Buffalo Getaway Chalet

Located in a cul-de-sac near Forest Beach in New Buffalo Township, this brand new home has been completed in 2021, featuring new furnishings, beds, TVs, appliances, and so much more!

Enjoy a refreshing dip in the heated pool, or treat your muscles to a relaxing time in the brand new hot tub.

The main living space is located on the second floor and offers a spacious living area with comfortable furniture around the wall-mounted Smart TV, a brand new kitchen purchased in 2021 with Whirlpool appliances, a drip coffee pot/Keurig combo, and a five-person breakfast bar, and a light-filled dining room with a six-person dining table overlooking the pool and backyard. From this level, you will have access to the private backyard where the pool and hot tub are located.

The bedrooms are scattered around the first and third levels of the home. The first level features a nice family room with a sectional in front of a Smart TV, a private bedroom, and a full bath with a standalone shower. The remaining four bedrooms, along with two full baths and a laundry room are located on the upper level of the home. The main bedroom has its own en suite bath with a standalone shower, while the other three bedrooms (one of them being a bunk room) share a full bath in the hallway.

A few important notes: there is a camera facing out from the front door towards the driveway. There are train tracks and a four lane road nearby also and the house is located at the end of a cul de sac with limited traffic.

How big is the pool?
The pool is huge.  It is 20 ft x 40 ft, ranges from 4' to 8' in depth and is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day annually for sure, sometimes later into September if the weather cooperates.  Please ask about pool usage first if you want to reserve the home in September after Labor Day or possibly prior to Memorial Day weekend.

Is the hot tub open year round?
Yes, the hot tub is open year round and serviced regularly.

Parking
There is parking for a maximum of 4 cars and they must be in the driveway. Please never park in the street as the neighbors will complain.

Beach Access
The nearest beach is the New Buffalo Public Beach at the end of Whittaker Rd, 2.5 miles north. You can drive and park, please note there is a fee to park that you can pay with a card at their on site kiosk.

Can I walk / bike to downtown New Buffalo?
The center of downtown New Buffalo is 1.5 miles away.  It is feasible but a section of the route would put you on a four lane county road.  It is not advisable.

Are pets allowed at the property?
Pets are not allowed at the property.

Cameras
There are security cameras looking out from the front door and both sides of the house. They don't look at the pool area or anywhere that you would expect privacy. 

Televisions
There are TVs in the primary bedroom suite upstairs, main floor living room and lower level rec rooom with Comcast Xfinity, high speed streaming and an Amazon Fire Stick.
