Looking for a quiet place to get away from it all? You found it at Susie’s Getaway! 

This lovely New Buffalo bungalow will charm you from the moment you walk through the doors. Park in the circle drive and feel the stress melt away.

This little bungalow is perfect for a small family or group of friends looking to come to New Buffalo and enjoy a slower pace of life. Walk through the front door into an open-concept space. The living area features cozy seating and a smart TV with streaming services. 

Off the living area is a well-stocked kitchen with bar seating overlooking the dining area. Through the french doors of the dining room is access to a well-furnished deck and views of the garden and charming firepit. 

The main floor also features a King bedroom suite with access to the bathroom via a spacious closet where you can unpack and make yourself at home. 

Off the back of the main floor you’ll find another bathroom and stairs leading down to the basement where there is a washer and dryer for guest use. 

Head upstairs to a well-furnished sleeping loft with a King bed and two twins, perfect for kids or close friends! 

There is a new Tesla EV charger at the house with a J1772 adapter. The back of the home features a secluded fire pit area perfect for your morning coffee or s’mores in the evenings! 

This home sits in the front of a two-homes property. There is a gate separating the two properties and the other home houses the caretakers for the compound.  

Please mind your space and they will do the same. They are quiet, respectful and you won’t even know they are around other than the occasional greeting.  Please make sure to not block the gate for the other house.

Susie's Getaway from Third Coast was perfect for our New Buffalo weekend of biking, beers, and beach. The location was great, the cottage was very nice - well appointed, and really great outdoor space. We would definitely rent here again. Cheers!

My kiddos loved staying here! They thought having their beds upstairs was really cool. We loved how close the home is to all the shopping and restaurants! This was our first visit to New Buffalo! We already can’t wait to go back!

We had the best time at Susie's!! So convenient to walk everywhere! We loved the deck the best, had great sun out there. Our littles thought the outdoor shower was the best after leaving the sandy beach. Very awesome hosts! The place had everything we needed the whole stay, lots of towels & a full kitchen was great! We cannot wait to come back!

This is a lovely house on a beautiful street. This was our second weekend there and the home is comfortable and tastefully decorated with everything that you need. The owner is gracious and the management company responsive and friendly and gives recommendations on restaurants and things to do in the area. The house is clean and smells clean when you enter the door. There was a bag of snacks waiting for us when we arrived which made us feel welcome. We love this house and will definitely be back. Thank you!

Property was exactly as described, communication was great, and included all details we needed for a great stay. The house was charming, so clean, and walkable to everything in New Buffalo. It was such a cozy place, filled with everything we needed - from comfy beds and bathrooms stocked with towels, to the fully stocked kitchen and wonderful outdoor space.

Charming stay in New Buffalo
The house couldn’t have been better for our stay in New Buffalo! It is a quaint residence, just blocks from everything- waterfront, coffee, and restaurants. Everything about the house, and provided amenities made us feel right at home. Comfy beds, lots of towels, fully stocked kitchen, wonderful outdoor spaces, and starter supplies. The house was quiet and immaculate. If you’re in the area, you definitely need to stay here!!

We loved staying at this home! It was a short walk downtown or to the beach. We loved having a King bed to sleep in!
The only thing I didn’t see listed is that the upstairs space does not have a door. The stairs go from the kitchen straight into the room. Not a big deal if traveling with older kids or friends. But it made getting our 3 year old to bed tough.
Other than that, this house was great!

The reservation process and communications from Third Coast Vacations were excellent.Susie's Getaway was a great spot for us and our son's family. The upstairs bedroom was perfect for a young mom and dad and two toddlers. The proximity to everything downtown was a huge plus since we could wheel the kids almost anywhere we wanted to go.The beach, Journeyman Distillery and Putting Green, Galien River County Park, New Buffalo Township playground and splash pad, Stray Dog, Beer Church, Cafe Gulistan

Having stayed at Lake County Inn for years until it was sold - we were looking for some place walkable to beach and main street , some place spacious but not grandiose. From s’more sticks, to extra fans, glassware, to an iron … just ease as we beached and rode bikes. Blissful.

Jon and the staff were responsive, patient and helpful throughout the process.
House was clean and had even more than expected/advertised.
Location was the best part, as more quiet and just out of the busy area, but still only a 5-12 minute walk to restaurants, shopping, or the beach/activities.
