Welcome to Bluebird Beach House in Union Pier, another great home offered by Third Coast Vacations, a full-service vacation rental company run by locals who love Harbor Country. This home will impress you from the moment step through the front door. You'll enter the home through a stunning three seasons room with views of the back yard. This space is beautifully furnished with cozy seating and a table perfect for meals or board games after a day at the beach.
Moving into the home you'll find a full size washer and dryer in the mud room as well as hooks and storage. The kitchen has been recently remodled with beautiful touches and plenty of quartz counterspace for meal preps. This home features an open concept layout with the kitchen flowing into the dining room which leads you to the living area of the home. The cozy living room features plenty of seating and a smart TV.
This home features 3 bedrooms, one with a full size bed, a second with a Queen sized bed and ensuite bathroom, and a third with 3 twin beds. This bunk bed room features a trundle bed which would be best used for a child or small adult. There are two full bathrooms, one off the dining space and another near the middle bedroom.
Bluebird Beach House has a lot to offer in the back yard. There is a large firepit with adirondack chairs that is perfect for s'mores or a hot dogs over the fire. The middle of the yard features a boccee ball court and all materials needed to play can be found in the storage area nearby. As you look at the property from the street, the left side yard and back of the property is completely fenced in. The backyard also features a large outdoor shower to ensure that the sand that you brought home from the beach stays outside, well most of it at least.
New hot tub being installed and operational by April 23, 2024. This will sit off of the screened-in porch area.

The rental team was great to work with. The heating system is older and we had questions. They came over right away and showed us how to use it. They stopped by Saturday morning with cinnamon sticky buns and small stuffed animals for the kids to make sure all was well. Very thougthful

Great house, great location. We stayed on a rather cold blustery weekend. We didn't get a chance to use the firepit, bocceball court or even the beach of Lake Michigan. Will have to come back for it.

the rental agency was great to work with. We were the first to stay in this new home and they gave us a gift card when we arrived (along with wine, drinks and snacks) as incentive to stay and provide feedback on the new home. Plenty of info about the property, communication prior to arrival and during was great and let us stay late on Sunday to enjoy the afternoon. Since we mentiioned we were coming with kids, they had a stuffed teddy bear and shark with Third coast branding on them. Kids were impressed.

Our commentary on the property - it was a great experience. The home is well furnished, clean, bright and airy. It was a rather windy / cold weekend so we didn't use many items of the exterior which I would imagine being a large perk for the summer. There is a screened in porch / 3 season room, a nice wood firepit outside with ample seating around it, and a bocce ball court also. The listing mentioned hammock but, once again, in March, these items were not utilized.
Updated bathrooms and comfortable beds were great for our stay, we didn't use the kitchen for really cooking but seems well stocked and adequate for meal prep. You are very close to McKinley Beach and and can walk to downtown Union Pier to grab something from Milda's or Black Currant. We come to the area often and nice to find a new location for us to stay. Our kids enjoyed the time and the openness of the pathway / general area of Paradise Villa's and makes for a play area for them. Would we come back? Yes, and very much want to do so when the exterior perks of the home can be really used.

The closest beach is the neighborhood beach at the end of McKinley, just 2/10 of a mile north of the house and then to the left.
Is firewood included?
You can have firewood delivered to the home through Third Coast for a $25 delivery fee + the cost of Wood at $8 a bundle ( 8 - 10 logs per bundle)
Is the backyard fenced in?
Yes, the left side of the property off the porch and the entire back of the property is fenced in for peace of mind with smaller kids and/or pets. We still recommend that you keep your dog on a leash in case a squirrel runs by.
