Welcome to Hygge House (pronounced hyoo·guh) Another great home offered by Third Coast Vacations, Harbor Country's favorite local vacation rental company. 

The Hygge House is named after a Danish word that describes a moment of coziness and contentment, and this lovely home has been designed to perfectly embody that feeling. Beautifully renovated in 2018, this two-bedroom, two-bathroom house sits on three-quarters of an acre, just 1,000 feet from a private association beach on Lake Michigan. Beach towels, beach chairs, and a beach wagon are provided to make your day at the beach a breeze!

After a day at the beach, unwind on the spacious back patio, which includes a gas grill, outdoor dining table, patio lighting, and a firepit to gather around each evening. The enclosed yard provides a wonderful setting for fun and games, and you'll even find a croquet set, corn hole boards and frisbee for you to use.

Indoors, the sunken living room is the perfect place to gather with family and friends, and offers a 50-inch flatscreen TV and a wood-burning rustic fireplace. Enjoy plenty of counter space and quality appliances in the fully equipped kitchen, and a roomy dining room that doesn't sacrifice the intimate dining experience.

When it's time to turn in, you'll find two bedrooms, the first has a queen-size bed with an en suite bathroom, dual vanities and a shower in the primary suite. The second bedroom is at the front of the home and features a queen-size bed with a dresser. Both bedrooms offer Bedside USB chargers/lights. For extra guests, there an American Leather queen-size sleeper sofa in the front living room.

The second bathroom includes a tub/shower so you can unwind or give the kiddos a bath after a day at the beach.  The home has excellent air quality thanks to an Ion Plasma air treatment system.

Off Season Offerings
From mid-November to mid-March, only the fire pit, some surrounding chairs, and the grill are present on the patio.
Access to the private beachfront requires descending stairs and a sandy bluff.    

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.

How do I get to the beach? 
First, please make sure to grab the key attached to the little flip flop that we keep in the kitchen. Walk south on Lakeshore to the wooden gate door across from Breezy Lane. There is a house number to the right of the door (15486), walk down the fenced path and stairs and you will be at the private neighborhood beach! Please note that there is no parking so you have to walk.
